I am Ninja

"I'm God's Secret Weapon for Today." As I read that sentence, I become both exillerated and petrified. You know its kinda like "Wow, God chose ME to serve His purpose!!" And then in the same breath I say "Huh? God chose ME to serve His purpose? What is He thinking?"

Acts 17:26 states, "From one man he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live." Have you ever wondered why you are where you are? I know for me sometimes it is daily. But God lets us know in His word that He pre-ordained the time and place for each one of us. He knew before we were even a thought when, where, and to whom we would be born. He already has the roads lined up that we are to go down. All we have to do is listen and rely on Him to guide.

And it is more than that. He created each one of us uniquely to serve a specific purpose that only we can fulfill to it's fullest potential. There is no one else out there that can do exactly what God created me to do. That is both an amazing thougth and a tremendous burden. But because of His love and mercy and grace along with the confidence He has in me, it is a burden I am more than willing to take on.

A ninja trains from a young child for years in order to protect his people and to be their secret weapon in times of battle. In the same way, I must be in training daily - spending time in the Bible and in prayer, gaining wisdom from others, relying on God. I need to be prepared to protect those that God entrusts to me. I need to be ready to be God's Secret Weapon for a world in desperate need of Hope.

The next time you question why me? why here? Remember that God chose you to carry out His plan. So prepare yourself and be ready for "You are Ninja."
